The Terms’ relation to this particular membership product service are implemented in conjunction with and reinforced by the DPA Rules. By using the DPA Website as part of your membership you are subject to all DPA Rules.
DPA Website is part of a restricted access website. Nevertheless, you are responsible for your account. You agree that you shall not share your log-in details or password with non-DPA members, and you shall not allow non-DPA members to read the forum, either online or in printed or in any other form. You also agree NEVER to use another member’s account to post messages or browse DPA Website. Additionally, all information upon DPA Website is confidential, and you agree that you shall not discuss or share the information published on DPA Website with any third parties, unless they are DPA members or officers.
You agree that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, abusive, racist, discriminatory, vulgar, insulting, hateful, obscene, threatening, confidential, invasive of a person’s privacy, amounts to harassment of a third party or is otherwise unlawful or illegal. You agree not to post any lengthy articles, or post anything of an overtly political or religious nature. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, repetitive self-post replies, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum. You also agree not to post any material which is prejudicial to DPA’s objectives or policy or that would bring DPA into disrepute. Postings that seek to maliciously and deliberately undermine DPA membership such as promoting an alternative organisation would fall into this category.
Further, you agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. You also agree not to infringe any intellectual property rights whatsoever, including in relation to trade marks, passing off, or patents.
Note that it is impossible for the DPA to confirm the validity of postings on DPA Website and that the DPA is not responsible for their content. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information presented. The messages express only the views of the author, not the views of the DPA. Objectionable content should be notified to the administrator of this forum immediately by email on email@example.com or by telephone on +852 2810 1092. The DPA has the right to remove any objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary. This is a manual process, however, so the DPA may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately. All of the terms and conditions outlined above apply equally to member profile information.
You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages and you agree to indemnify the DPA against any claims by third parties, liabilities or costs that may arise from messages posted by you on the DPA Website.
You agree to use moderation in all of your postings and you agree to accept the judgment of the moderators in the execution of their duties.
Although the DPA will not voluntarily disclose any of your personal data, including your name and email address to a third party, the DPA reserves the right to do so if ordered to by a court or other legal entity, or if asked to do so by the Police, or any other entities that could require the DPA to disclose your personal data.
By using DPA Website you agree to include your real name, rank, fleet and base within your profile which is attached to each post. You must update your rank or fleet as and when changes occur by updating your profile. After logging into DPA Website, a detailed profile, including your real name, will be visible to all those who use DPA Website.
Please note that with each posting, your IP address and membership number are recorded. In the event that you breach any term of this agreement or any DPA Rules, the DPA reserves the right to apply forum restrictions and permissions, suspend your membership of this forum andor ban you permanently.
You agree to be contactable via email to which the terms and conditions above apply, appear on the forum communication list, and take part in any other forum activities included in the provision of member services as publicised by the DPA.
We emphasise that a breach of the Terms can lead to you being disciplined under the DPA’s Rules.
